Mooch has been commissioned by Historic England as part of their Twin Towns Cultural Programme. We are twinning Ramsgate and Ryde to create the fantasy Isle of Rydesgate. Planning Permission for PERFUGIUM MISERIS

Mooch is delighted to announce that we finally have our planning permission to go ahead with a new version of the PERFUGIUM MISERIS artwork that we did for Ramsgate in 2016. Huge thanks to Ramsgate Town Council and Thanet District Council for their support and confidence in the project. Now the hard work starts of delivering what will be a major artwork for the town. Site survey for PERFUGIUM MISERIS

Yesterday saw our first proper survey of the landing stage on the Eastern harbour arm in Ramsgate and what an extraordinary place it is. In the Brutalist style of architecture, this treasure was originally built in the 1940’s, ferries would moor here and passengers disembark to continue their journeys.

Mooch was founded in 2002 by Creative Director, Theresa Smith. Working alongside local authorities, private companies, arts and regeneration organisations, Mooch is a creative force in many projects — ranging from regeneration focussed landscape masterplans to instigating public art installations from concept to delivery.

The Mooch practice is a broad one, responding to each creative project in it's own, site specific, context.
